They had one homeless baw with a whimsical setup at the Highland I-10 on ramp a few months back. Had the facilities at his disposal for the construction work going on there and his tent setup right before the on-ramp nestled amongst the trees. Very park like setting.

Big Saints fan as well.

Trash bags started to pile-up and poof, they cleared him out.

He had it going on for a minute.

I take Main Street to N 19th Street home each day until I get to Perkins, and there's a fellow who lives under the overhang of a building right up in there on N 19th. He's totally set up in his space and I've never not seen him there. Even have seen a car pulled over unloading stuff to him. He's a big boy.. definitely not hungry, which is good.

For a few days, a woman set up the same at a different point of the same building, but she didn't stay long. She had an even more legit setup.. a full fledge cot that she had sheets/a comforter for and she made her bed perfectly up every day before she left for the day to do whatever.

On O'Neal, southbound lane way up under the I-12 bridge. Tarp and cardboard cover it.

I’ve seen this guy too, for a little bit he even had a little clothes rack to hang a privacy curtain up on

but for my contribution to the thread, underneath the north blvd overpass looks like the walking dead if you go at a popular time for them

Last I checked (December) there was a tarp enclosure behind the dumpster at McDonald’s on Sherwood at N Harrell’s Ferry. I’d see guys go in and out while I was in the drive-thru.

Underneath the North blvd train overpass is where the downtown panhandlers live. Its gotten quite large. I know the police found two bodies there about a year ago. Wish they would clean it up

Is north Baton Rouge immune for some reason to having these types of homeless encampments? Or just harder to distinguish?

I don't think they would have as much success panhandling in North BR and if they did they would need to keep their head on a swivel as they would likely get mugged.

There’s a large homeless camp in the woods near N16 and 110.

Would be a shame if somehow fireworks were launched into them.

Might destroy all their dirty needles
