This chick has a credit card with 10K on it that she had kept hidden from me from several years back.
Score one here for Dave Ramsey.
This just goes to show that most spouses fail to communicate when it comes to finances with one another.
Going forward, monthly discussions reviewing the budget together and set a spending limit (agreed upon) that you are allowed to spend without notifying the other person.
And lastly, you should have checked your credit report a long time when you started this process to eliminate any surprises.

Is this current debt? In collections of some sort? Sent to a P O Box?

Need more info, OP
How long have you been married?
How many years ago was this credit card being used?
How didn't you notice her buying new shite?
If it was several years ago, why haven't you looked at your credit report in such a long time?

She should have softened the blow by telling you that your 5 inches does not satisfy her and she needs at least a 8 inches to feel anything. That she has been banging dudes regularly on the side and is not sure if the kids are yours. After that spilling the beans on the 10k debt wouldn't seem so bad.

Oh my goodness.
Wait for 7.5 years to pass from date of first delinquency (it will drop off) or send a letter and try to settle it with the specific request that it be DELETED from her report.
But first send a letter asking them to VALIDATE the debt.

Kiss the escrow money goodbye. That's a drop in the bucket compared to what buying a house with that broad will cost you one day.

So a secret credit card that she didn't pay or what?
Basically
Told her I wanted to look at the statements as soon as I found out, nothing crazy out of the norm on there though
Have zero trust for her now though in any thing
10K in CC debt should't mean much, jesus.

How long have y'all been married.
10k is not a fortune. Can be paid off pretty quickly.
Don't freak out. Life is full of bs surprises

If the date of first delinquency is close to 7.5 years old DO NOT send any letters though. That will reset the clock and you are on the hook.

Married 5 in May
Started around our wedding date
Just added up with her never paying fully, terrible fricking judgement.
It has never shown on my sole credit report

If she is paying on time, at least the min, hopefully more, who cares?
Here is my take, keep it all separate. You get married, get a joint "dump" account (never done it). But, mostly separate. Keep yourself safe, in a strategic way.

I'm as annoyed less about the money than the situation
We can pay it tomorrow and feel little
That shows how poor her fricking judgement is though
The fact that she lied about it or concealed the whole time is huge
