Unless you need her income to qualify, apply for the loan in your name only. Make sure you love her because she still owns half the house but isn't on the loan. I did this when I first got married.
ps - didn't read the whole thread but my wife's card was in her name only, not my name. If your wife used your name to get the card then scratch my suggestion.
