BTR flies in and out of E20ish-30ish, so yeah, good fricking fun when you're trying to catch a tight connection and have a 25min walk or 15min run ahead of you

Plus, if you land on the furthest runway, it can be another 30+ minutes just to taxi to the gate! CLT sucks

You have to hope that every situation is not the same but I've seen what this has done to my city on the Left Coast. The same people that develop all this over develop the streets in favor of pedestrians to a point where cars can barely get around. That is done on purpose.
Then taxes become so unfriendly to businesses that they just get up and go somewhere else leaving a soulless shell of the city with mixed multi-use buildings everywhere.

I like Charlotte a lot. One of my favorite big cities...clean, nice, lots to do, good weather, healthy economy, close to beaches, mountains, and other fun cities like Wilmington, Charleston, and Asheville. If forced to move to a major city that would likely be the one for me (or maybe Tampa).

Charlotte is also a perfect example of why we don't need government getting involved in shite like housing supply. Private industry has fixed it and then some in that town. It just doesn't happen overnight.

It's been a while, which concourse? I can't tell you the amount of times I had to go from E over to A for a connector. Sometimes it was no big deal because I had time, but there were lots of times where I had to almost sprint across the airport....it isn't small like say Louisville

This. Charlotte is one of the nicest cities in the country. There isn't anywhere in Louisiana that can hold a candle to it or Raleigh.

The NOLA/BR folks are projecting here from their shitholes.

Yeah, but how are the parades and festivals in Charlotte.

Hartsfield might be the easiest major airport to navigate.

Why hate that?

Fun fact: downtown Charlotte is built on top of hundreds of abandoned gold mines. All those buildings are sitting on geological swiss cheese.

The ranters think Will Wade is going to leave Raleigh and come back to ghetto refinery town.

I’d live in New Orleans every single day of the week over Charlotte. Charlotte feels like walking into a city of junior bankers who would all rather be in NYC or Atlanta. It’s basically a smaller Atlanta with a whole lot less of the good Atlanta stuff.

Coming to say similar. Half the journey is the forever long taxi to only see how much of a shite hole it is.

Cities like Austin, Charlotte, and Nashville are unrecognizable from 25 years ago. I grew up in Nashville and live here once again, and its a completely different place from when I left in 2003. Some good. Some bad. All in all, its a decent t place to raise a family and own a business. Id imagine Charlotte is the same.

I grew up near Charlotte. It was a good place then, but all the yankees have ruined it.

I’m of the opinion that the US in general is growing too fast. All of these lame arse glass skyscrapers represent the elite getting more money, and an influx of foreigners take jobs for those companies.

Throwing salt and paprika on everything isn’t seasoning and maybe you shouldn’t get so drunk in public that your most famous street smells like a New York City sewer
