2 things - does anyone care about a producer from a tv show over a decade ago?

Also, love this is organized from an anti-ice group not even anything in the entertainment industry.

When they lose 1 liberal they gain 20 conservative viewers. Probably the only way for them to start making money again TBH.

Can't wait to see how many wannabe stars in Los Angeles are waiting to cross that picket line.

Keanu Reeves can star in the eventual movie.

I don't think he should be fired for what he said, but it's not a free speech issue. Disney owns the platform and the American people own the airwaves used to broadcast the content. Use of them is a licensed privilege and Disney has no legal obligation to air his speech. Kind of hard to have an honest debate of the issues when one or both sides start off full of shite.

The FCC chairman publicly threatened Disney/ABC/their affiliates if they didn’t punish Kimmel. The same FCC that could pull ABC’s license and end them instantly.

If they want to protest they should protest against the FCC. Not sure if Disney had an option here

And for every actor, writer, and producer in Hollywood, there are a 1000 talented people who want to be in their position and will happilly do what Disney wants.

He told someone in an interview that the FCC would have some work to do if Disney didn’t act to clean up the mess. Doing what you mentioned isn’t as easy you imply and talking about possibilities doesn’t change that, and what he said didn’t necessarily have to include suspension of Kimmel as a fix (which is all it is as of now and still not convinced it is going to be permanent).

Broadcaster using public wireless spectrum licensed to them by the govt are bound by the rules set by the govt that were already in place before Kimmel said anything or the FCC chairman said anything about Kimmel. Just because Biden’s Autopen’s FCC looked the other way while Kimmel broke those broadcasting rules in the past doesn’t mean Trump’s should as well. Disney not doing anything before this is what caused this issue not the FCC. Kimmel has been this way for years.

Watching posters like volhalla and Corinthians clutch their pearls and wet their panties over this should bring a smile to any good red blooded American’s face

I agree. I am thinking that unless Disney is really looking for an out for his large contract this is temporary. I also think if Disney had being this temporary from the start Disney and Kimmel are pushing for the publicity for when he is reinstated. They will treat him like a conquering hero while quietly toning it done or finding more balance other ways.
