Why is it always tourist that get gunned down in the ghetto?

Why don’t locals from other neighborhoods get gunned down in ghettos like Hollygrove?

He sang pretty good and drove a fullsize pickup.

Checks two of the boxes.

Maybe they weren't "tourists" maybe they were instigators of some sort.

Years ago I was speaking with someone from Houma who hated New Orleans, and she said her parran was shot and killed in the 9th ward when he was joy riding his motorcycle around there. And I told her he shouldn't have been riding around there.

Of course she argued and said he did that all the time. Well, turns out he was a cocaine user ... so I'm guessing it was a bad deal or something. But, according to her, it was just terrible, bad, voodoo-ridden New Orleans.

There were cars all over the neighborhood almost like a parade when I went through there at 1630. It's more of a mixed area than one might believe.

I highly recommend checking out the street view on Google Maps where the 8400/8500 block meets Joliet. You'll want to be positioned on the 8500 side. You'll know it when you see it.

You wanna give us a hint? All I see is a dude walking down the street carrying a bag of chips and the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Figured this shite would happen at some point with rising crime in New Orleans. When tourists start getting killed, the tourism money that makes up the city’s entire economy dries up and the city will become Detroit: a washed up has been, former great American city taken over by blight, crime and corruption. Even though this was in the hood, it will soon start happening in better areas like the quarter

Edit: should have read the thread, I guess they weren’t tourists. My point still stands though
