History Buffs: Is it true that aTm and LSU had the most Officers Serve in WWII

From their ROTC? My grandfather, who's a huge history buff, told me on Thursday that both aTm and LSU were 1-2 in that regard. Didn't know if it was accurate or not, though. It'd be a pretty cool trivia question to use on friends.

"During World War II, LSU was one of the top four schools producing officers for the U.S. Armed Forces. (The other schools were Texas A&M, West Point, and Annapolis). LSU had more than 5,000 former students serving as officers, including 16 who achieved the rank of Brigadier General or higher. In all, 12,000 individuals from LSU served, and over 500 died in this great conflict."

I think West Point was first and aTm and LSU were second and third, at least as far as the army.
