They ought to send that research ship to look for him.

BTW bull sharks will enter fresh/brackish water. Although rare, any body of water connected to the Gulf can potentially have them. They've been caught in Red River before, and IRRC in the Mississippi as far upstream as Illinois.

Great Whites have always visited the Gulf Of Mexico on a seasonal basis. There's plenty of squid and gamefish and deep trenches to find them. But pinnipeds have been extinct in the gulf for a couple hundred years. The growing population of Gray seals has increased the number of GW sharks in the western Atlantic.
