My daughter plays post for her high school basketball team. There are elbows, shoves, and checks like this 10 times a game easy.

Girl could have seriously injured both runners.

You realize if she would have had the ball in her hand she could have hit them even harder and it would have been legal right?

yep, if there were no cell cams and no internet no one outside of the handful of people that saw it would ever have known about it

But she didn't have the ball. She should've been ejected but she definitely doesn't deserve all this shite she's getting

Exactly. They were both cheap shots but people trying to ruin her life are much worse than her actions.

Except she didn't have the ball. It wasn't even close to her. She did that solely to injure those girls out of rage/ poor sportsmanship.

What the frick is wrong with you?

You do realize what actually happened was not a legal play. No play was happening or going to happen at home plate. The catcher clearly was standing in the base path and hit two runners b/c she was blocking the base path. Anyone who knows anything about baseball knows that this was not legal (should of been ejected) and bush league.

And she should've been ejected, but lets not act like that was some outrageous play that would've caused some sort of career ending injury when it would have been completely legal if she had the ball.

exactly, her amateurism really shows, the proper technique would be to assume a stance as if the ball is almost to you, baiting the runner to make a play for the plate and then dole out your punishment, impossible to prove what is going through the catcher's mind, at least the first tome

I don't think its so much the injury part. It's the fact she purposely gave 2 girls an elbow when the ball was nowhere near her. PoS move, but she's still getting a lot more shite than she deserves. It was a simple mistake that could've been handled a different way.

The girl is simply doing what her parents are telling her to do.

More so than not, these kids have fat soccer moms and annoying, obnoxious fathers as parents, who try to relive past glory through their kids.

It's white trash.

I don't like seeing people trying to tear apart a high schooler, that is obviously competitive by nature, for making a couple of questionable plays in a championship game where no one was hurt.

If the internet wants to ruin someone's life, how about finding his information and making sure that ump never works again?

the game was either the state championship or semi-final game. It was televised.

Except the runners would brace themselves for a collision or would be sliding if this play was legal. She effectively blindsided them when they were completely vulnerable and off guard. You're making a terrible comparison.

They should have spent some of that television money on better officiating.

No doubt - the entire nation is debating an incident, unsportsmanlike as it may be and in which no one got injured, and raking this teenage girl over the coals for it.

There's only 2 ways from here - drugs or porn... or both.

Little Megan was gonna bring honor to the trailer park by extending her career all the way to the wcws. It's all over now. Intramural cabbage ball is even out of the question. Girl needs therapy.
