You think if your kid dies oh well...oops

Who even leaves their car unlocked anymore?

Human evolution does still exist... who knew.

Go ahead and go to bed, we'll take it from here.

You must be drunk.
You’re arguing child neglect. Neglect and a dead 2 year old are different things.
You want them to take a counseling course at a community center.

I never agree with instances where charges are based on the outcome vs the actual behavior.
It's like saying someone walked into a store, swiped a candy bar, an employee chased him and on his way out, tripped and hit his head on a curb and now he's dead.
The shoplifter is charged with manslaughter in this case instead of petty theft.

No one gives a frick what your dumbass thinks versus actual laws.

Do you know the difference between laws and charges?
I think not, Mr. Emotionally Unstable

Your analogy was the worst I’ve ever seen

^^ All jokes aside, based on your posts I believe you have some sort of personality disorder.
If you have a family you'd want to get it checked out for them, if at least not yourself.

This might be one of the fricking stupidest posts I’ve ever seen.

Wondering why this particular instance warranted posting. That's all bud.
Could you be more disengenuous??

They slept 4 hours in the afternoon because they were tired. Not because weed magically made them unconscious. Good weed doesn't make you pass out. It just makes you more able to sleep.

Definition of manslaughter in AL:
quote:
a) A person commits the crime of manslaughter if:
(1) He recklessly causes the death of another person, or
(2) He causes the death of another person under circumstances that would constitute murder under Section 13A-6-2 ; ?except, that he causes the death due to a sudden heat of passion caused by provocation recognized by law, and before a reasonable time for the passion to cool and for reason to reassert itself. (b) Manslaughter is a Class B felony.
Nothing about this situation fits that definition. Do you honestly think the prosecutor is going to take this to trial and try to get a conviction on manslaughter?
They’re piling on as many chargers as they can to try to induce a plea from the crappy parents. That’s how the law actually works.

This is stupid as frick. So if they would have just taken a nap and not had cannabis in their system, their own kid snuck out of the house, and died in a car he got himself into, would they be charged with manslaughter as well? It ain't like they passed out in the car, while parked at the family dollar with the kid buckled up in the back and the doors locked.
Hell is this opening up a door for anytime someone goes to sleep and something bad happens to a dependent that they get charged with it as 'neglect'? I know my bro used to sneak out of the house when my parents were asleep (and dad was passed out from drinking) and steal the car. Imagine if he got in a wreck and died and my parents were charged for his death because of his own stupidity. What bullshite.

Bunch of law-and-order idiots in that state. They're the worst kind of people.

Manslaughter seems really steep for this instance.
Should be more along the lines of child neglect. Yes it turned out in death, but the cause itself didn't change.
I think it’s pretty standard that if your neglect of your child results in that’s child’s death, manslaughter charges will be filed. Haven’t you ever heard of Negligent homicide?

Irregardless of what made them pass out or fall asleep, you don’t let a 2 year old child go unsupervised for 4+ hours in the middle of the day.
