don’t know if the “most” is as much as you think. Divorce rate wouldn’t be so high if we had more great parents in the world. An awful lot of selfish people having kids it seems.
I gotta tell you, even through some dark times, couldn’t bear to see my kids hurt by it if I can avoid it, within reason.

Don’t be a dick, I’m asking honestly.
Does it depend on how it breaks by by husband/wife, huge difference, or near equal earners?

I've never been divorced but my parents were. It was certainly difficult for the kids. Thankfully, I'd say that's pretty unlikely in our marriage.
My dad was an underemployed alcoholic (boy, did I follow every stereotypical daddy issues thing with my marriage choice), and my mom was the breadwinner. She toughed it out for 45 years. I’m not sure how sometimes, looking back.
I never want to go through divorce again, especially now that there are kids. Here’s to hoping we can keep our shite together. At least #2 works hard and doesn’t have a drinking problem.

Probably why you’re melting in a incel divorce thread on a Friday night
You are retarded.
For one, you’re doing the same thing
For another, family dinner and sexy time with wife earlier. Now winding down.
You?

Got busted with some pain pills that weren’t prescribed to me in the North Dakota. They sent me to the big house for 7 1/2 months. Was the straw that broke the camel’s back with my ex wife.

Oddly enough, we had times where we had marriage issues that I thought were potentially fatal. We'll be married 20 years in July and we don't really even fight anymore. I think most couples get to this point. She's my best friend, cheesy I know.

quote:Sorry to seem like a dick. Ive had a dick responding to me out of his arse in the thread. At 200k and higher the rate drops to 30%, possibly even less to 600k. There are numbers that suggest with higher income disparity the rate is even lower. Regardless what I said earlier stands....higher incomes divorce less.

I didn’t expect women cheating to be that common of a response

These are the people that post in these threads. They’re either so stupid or narcissistic that they’ll just blame their ex wife without ever looking in the mirror. It’s so painfully obvious and pathetic

1. 9 months
2. She did
3. I was 19 years old and a raging alcoholic and coke head.
Hard to believe it's been almost 15 years. Went to rehab back in 2020 and she caught wind of it through the grapevine. Sent me a very kind text message that I'll keep forever.

How long have you been married? I'm just curious. Because sometimes it goes from great to questionable pretty quickly. Especially when you get married pretty young. I'd agree if you've been divorced multiple times that's it's probably a you issue.

Hmm. Yeah higher disparity suggests one more depends on the other, but equal earners/wealth also gives a sense of teamwork and confidence. Although the trust fund wife and moderate/poor but hard working husband thing seems to always be toxic.
Also, seems like between $200k and $600k there’s a good window for being comfortable and secure without getting too mind fricked and miserable by a lot of money, which I’ve witnessed in many situations.
