In the sense that alcohol destroys more lives by breaking up families, losing job,etc you are correct but much of that stems from its legal status.

Or because alcohol actually "fricks you up" more than others

All the dumb, regretful shite I've done has been while drunk

How so?

I am for legalization of every drug. Heroin is the one I have an issue with.

The Netherlands have a system where you can go to an Outpatient clinic every day to get your fix. A real doctor injects you with a set amount. It has greatly reduced the amount of brown on the streets and the amount of ODs. Is it the ideal situation? Maybe so maybe not. I don't know if the US could handle something like that. I am just sick of seeing people go down the wrong path and in the graveyard because of a bad batch or miscalculation. A monitered outpatient clinic could certainly help in that regard.

I am not saying that is the ultimate solution but it is an idea.

It doesn't matter if all drugs (including alcohol) are legal or illegal. Alcohol has always been the most popular (besides caffeine)

Because alcohol has pervaded all aspects of western culture since the dawn of civilization? Because it has that social and historical aspect going back thousands of years like no other drug. Because of its liquid form and culinary properties. For a myriad reasons that have nothing to do with legality.

Seriously guys, it has nothing to do with legality. Look at prohibition. Marijuana, cocaine, heroin were available then. Alcohol was king.

They were still new to white people in America, especially compared to alcohol.

I think it is beyond retarded that I can walk down the street and buy a fifth of whiskey that has the potential to kill me yet I can't legally smoke a bowl.

Worse in what sense? I know the high isn't as desireable.

Still, I'd rather have junkies stuffed in clinics than roaming the streets begging for money or stealing. It is a shitty situation but it is fricking reality.

And those reasons don't relate to why it is legal? They aren't related?

Was alcohol king because it was a lot more familiar at the time? Real question. I don't know.
