This is when all the kids in Louisiana become so belligerently stupid that our society completely falls apart.

The problem isn’t that such a low number under 17 year olds are dying from it, it’s that they still have the same potential to contract the virus and spread it to someone who IS at a higher risk of dying. It’s not about looking out for yourself, it’s about looking out for those around you.

“muh, science”

<500 deaths from COVID in ages 0-17
80 million children in this age group.

meanwhile, pneumonia has taken 800 0-17 child lives since the start of COVID.

Then those goofy fricks should go get the vaccine. How do people think this is acceptable?! If a person is concerned about getting sick and dying....then get vaccinated. Otherwise, the world must go on.

WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO frickING STUPID?!

These idiots aren't even following the fake CDC guidelines....this year close contact without symptoms doesn't even call for a full class quarantine...much less full school.

The parents should be pissed.

Even if that is 110% true that is not a burden for little kids to bear.

Maybe those people should get the vaccine and hide inside until it's all over. It's really scary out there

There's the empathy card. You must have already used your previous cards. This one rarely works.

link? link to data showing children under the age of 17 are dying at a faster rate than previous strains of COVID? 7, there have been 7 deaths since August 11th in that age range.

You mean the people who have easy access to widely touted vaccines?
And if this was the case, why the fear mongering about the children?

The constant goalpost moving would be funny if the results weren't so serious.

Yes, we know. Anyone who questions the repetitive mantras is "stupid," "irresponsible," etc etc. frick off. And this is from someone who is vaccinated.

If the vaccine works as well as you people keep saying it does, then get your shots and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I noticed your post had seven replies. All of those replies dealt with the fact those around children at risk from the virus could get the vaccine. This is a logical solution that most people would agree makes sense. I notice you’ve not replied to any of those seven people who pointed this out. Why have you chose to ignore them?

Rarely works on a board like this full of misinformed morons who think it’s political, I agree. Does it make you feel “heroic” in some way by saying I shouldn’t have empathy? Some hero you are, you might not think you’re putting people in danger but you are. I won’t get through to you which is fine but the facts are on my side
