Nick Saban would never step foot on BRCC property because he knew damn well it would be used against him in recruiting. Same thing for Les Miles.
True story...back in the mid 90’s, Michael Jordan and his crew were in the area for a few days playing golf. They were told by BRCC they couldn’t play there because there were no available tee times. BRCC doesn’t use tee times, they always find a way to get members and guest on the course.

It’s more about allowing to get members who work for publicly traded companies/their subcontractors with diversity contracts. But your point isn’t that far off.

Edit to add: looking into the distinction being used to say a Live Oak is "evergreen" is a technical argument. They keep their leaves during the winter so they're evergreen is dumb definition. They still drop their leaves yearly, making them deciduous.
Pines shed their needles annually but they aren’t deciduous either.
Bald cypress is a deciduous conifer.
