Louisiana is an At will Work state and an employer can fire your drugged up arse for anything at anytime (outside of discrimation issues) . Wear your bama shirt to the office, you're fired. Eat green gummies, your arse is gone. Leave a stray pube on the office toilet seat, hit the bricks sparky.

No you don't. I have known people that have only used it a couple of times and had it show up. Why would they legalize something and then allow it to stay on the drug test? Makes no sense.

I’m pretty sure companies can fire people for ingesting legal products.

Just because they’re able to spray a new chemical on it every week that the law doesn’t know about doesn’t mean it’s legal

That's the misconception about drug testing that they don't tell you. It won't show current impairment. Only a blood test shows current impairment, which is never done. They are only seeing what you did in the past, with all other forms of drug testing.

I am amazed about all of the ignorance there is about this issue. It seems impossible to make people listen.

doesn't seem practical to fire somebody from their job for a positive drug test, for having a substance in their system that has been legalized.

You probably can’t drink beer at work either, I assume. And it’s perfectly legal.

This is something that you didn't do at work, as I've stated before, drug testing shows what you did 12 hours ago.

Your private employer can fire you for pretty much anything other than being black, a woman, or gay.

You would have to ingest a ton for it to show up in a test

Wrong. Here’s a test I did after someone drank 1 can of Indigo 0.3% THC.

You are just a yes man, twisting everything around to defend anything an employer does. This Trump republicanism is going to destroy the constitution faster than liberalism. I'm not sure which is worse.

Again, it has to be around 8 to 12 hours later before it shows up on a urine test. Strange how you just happened to have the test with you???WTF? Drug tests don't show current impairment.

This doesn’t make any sense. Nothing about this issue is Trump, republican, or democrat, conservative or liberal.

In most states employer can fire you because your shirt is ugly or because he doesn’t like your face.

You know the terms of your employment. Don’t violate them if you want the job. Legality of whatever your chosen indulgence may be is totally irrelevant.

I don't doubt this.
But, there is no loophole.
Over 0.3% THC is deemed weed and illegal.
It's illegal on federal level everywhere.

It was probably CBD flower. Looks exactly like weed.

Yep Y.A., these MJ lovers ( and I don't care if you do it) don't realize that companies are on the hook for liability in the event of accidents. If you work at a grocery store or sell cars it's not a problem, but if you are in an insured profession that has standards and safety protocols all of this is a serious issue for the company. If you want to do it just don't work in a field that requires you being clean. And, please don't do this shite in front of other people because you smell like a skunk (just eat the gummies I guess?)
Now do alcohol.

Anything that was done legally at home shouldn't matter at work. Period. First you were using one argument, then you twisted it around after I poked holes in it. If you continue to allow employers to dictate what you do away from work, then that is just as bad as living under communism. Your freedom will continue to deteriorate under the corporate state. Its largely republicans that wanted this legalized so the profiters can prosper and get rich, but when all of the other issues that come with it begin to arise, they say, "it's not my problem." Your company is right. "Employment at will." This is why Louisiana is so screwed up, In my opinion. The facts are being ignored and politicians are pretending to not see past the tip of their noses. Everything that gets passed is going to effect something else.

We need to clip the nuts of the conservatives, because the world doesn't work like this. I have made countless points, and not one person has argued these points.
