I will say its interesting to go to wal mart in Montana. They are well kept and very nice for some reason, know idea why...

Walmart delivery for the win. Love publix but it's definitely more expensive than other stores.
Some people seem to consider it some sort of badge of honor to announce they'd never shop at Walmart. Enjoy paying 30% more for the same products I guess

When I lived in Alabama, I used to raid that 2 for 1 deals, but only get 1 item which would still be half off. Those deals are all over the store. Now that I live in Florida, there is no grocery tax, which is nice obviously, but they negate the half off/2 for 1 deals.

Stores are nice. Workers seem nice.
But holy cow the prices are insane. Worst than Winn Dixie. Even the sale prices seem high.
So what’s the angle here?
See bolded. People will pay for nice things.

Exaggerate much?
And most Walmarts kind of suck around the south so yeah I hate them. The curbside pick up works well for some of the items we like to still get from there

HEB for that matter want to deal with the Louisiana government for its permits and licenses for stores, pharmacies, and lottery sales?
There was an HEB Pantry store open in Lake Charles for a period of time.

Nah. Most regularly priced items at Walmart are 30% cheaper than Rouses, Winn Dixie etc.
I agree that Walmart kind of sucks but we just do the pickup or delivery. I rarely have issues with it.

Found a cheese grader at the Publix in Destin I've been looking for for years, so there's that.
Does he/she rate the Gouda as A+? I’ve been looking for some high grade cheese lately.

Strange that you seem to think Winn Dixie is high priced as well.
Unless you’re shopping directly from their weekly sales ad, it is.

I can say this without a doubt….H-E-B/Central Market is without a doubt the best grocer in the country.

OK, I stand corrected. I haven't been in a Winn Dixie in a very long time. Just seems like they are more run down and more in run down areas. Seems like the shoppers are lower income.

I genuinely feel bad for people that think Publix subs are good. As a huge fan of subs I think about all the amazing food experiences such people never got the opportunity to enjoy.

Lowe's Foods (based in Winston-Salem, NC and has moved into SC) is better than Publix. Basically the same thing but you can drink beer while you shop (which I don't do but a lot of people like it), has better meats, just as clean and nice as Publix, and has better prices.

Plenty of restaurants and bars around and Winston-Salem has 8+ breweries. They focus on NC beers which we have some pretty good ones.

It's the chick fil a of grocery stores. I find Publix to be well run, the staff to be courteous, the store is clean, oh and they actually have multiple lanes up with baggers (looking at you Kroger).
