Guppies might be kinda trashy.
But what about local wild-caught green trout?

I had cichlids before. Jack Dempsey, firemouth, and whatever the lemon colored ones are. Went to Europe for a couple weeks and my neighbor fed them an entire can of food so they all died.
The reason I was even asking was to decide whether to rebuild or discard the whole thing.
We are going to build wall shelving and build in the tank with it.
Tank is currently on a stand that is painted to match the living room paint and trim.

I don't have a tank now, but I used to really like the cichlids and Oscars I had a while back. If it looks nice and adds to the atmosphere, do it.

Fish tanks anywhere are trashy.
You putting it in the living room just makes you shameless

Depends on if theres hard wood floors, can lights, modern furniture, and ship lap.

Just fill it with some specks and reds, with some flounder at the bottom and youll do great.
