Oh damn, I wanna buy this. I've gotten into a couple of shooter games lately, and that's spiked an interest in guns.
I've never bought a gun before. What is a good entry level gun?
I wanna get a LVOA-C M4 variant too.

What kind of gun do you want? Rifle, pistol, shotgun?

I kind of like the M4 variants from an aesthetic point of view. But I have no clue about guns. Maybe a pistol to start? I honestly don't know.

You can find M4 variants for pretty cheap. Ruger SR-556, S&W M&P's, and Palmetto State Armory AR's can be found for fairly low cost. You'll probably find that more fun to shoot than a pistol. You can also look for pistol caliber carbines and "pistols" like the one in the OP.

Glock 17
or
Smith and Wesson M&P in 9mm

Dope. Definitely going to look for an M4 variant.

Check out Palmetto State's website. You can by separate uppers and lowers and kind of "build your own". If you buy the stock models with the plastic hand guards and fixed front sight post, you'll probably just end up taking them off and replacing them shortly after you buy it. I've never owned any PSA guns, but I've heard they're decent quality for the price. Might want to check out reviews online. Of course, if you're just dipping your toes in the gun world, long term durability probably won't matter to you.

It generally does with regards to other things. I'm more than willing to spend money upfront so I don't have to spend money later. My neighbor is ex-Air Force and I'll ask him to go to the gun range so I can get my bearings before I figure out what I want to buy. I like the FN Scar variants too.
The aesthetics on some of these guns is amazing.

I'm sure they will be nearly impossible to find in stock,
I know a guy who works at one of the largest wholesale firearms distributors in the US. I asked how many they are getting. Keep in mind that these guys buy guns by the multiples of a hundred.
They are getting 25.

You better be ready to spend some coin
If you're not afraid of spending, check out Daniel Defense. They're a pretty solid quality out of the box gun.

The ignorance exhibited in this post would make a reasonable person question if they knew enough to even form and informed opinion. Take my word for it. You don't and you shouldn't.

Lipsey?
Obviously. But I didn't want to mention that name and derail this thread with a discussion of his late romp in politics.

And my question is how is it stored? Safe? Closet? Under a bed? If it gets into someone’s hands not in a safe who’s responsible?

ROFL I guess H&K doesn't need the money. They are leaving so much on the table by not offering their shite on the American market.

Blasphemy in an H&K thread.

Did you just compare a Glock to an H & K?
That's like comparing a Kia to a Bentley.

The highest quality firearm you can afford.
H & K, Sig, Beretta
...don't buy any junk.
A firearm is a tool used for hobby, sport, and self defense. Should you buy cheap junk and it jams on you at the range or on the hunt. Not really a problem, unless you're hunting bears. Bears will kill you. Should you need the gun for self-defense and it jams. Congratulations. You just showed up at a gunfight with a paperweight.

But on something you probably can speak from experience which color crayons taste the best? I have always wondered.
