Jails in Louisiana are built to make money, not rehab criminals. There are prisons out there that have resources to do so, but they damn sure aren't in this state.

I'm not one of those "kill all pit bulls!" people. That said, the notion that a pit bull is going to protect you is absurd. They're not especially loyal or intelligent compared to other dogs. They're not disciplined or predictable in their behavior.
I would even say I like pit bulls, when they're not turning a preschool into Fogo de Chao. They are not your bodyguard, though.

The Lady was forced to do the job our public officials are not allowed to do.
She should be awarded a Mother of The Year reward.
Think of the lives she may have saved as well as the publics money.
I saw a News Bulletin here in Tennessee. They have held up executions because the serum used for execution was selected by a non medical person. The serum may cause pain when injected.
