My neighbor bought a new tractor with a plow attachment. He loves driving that thing around. He already made a pass at a bunch of our houses tonight free of charge. Very happy camper right now.

I knew a guy that this happened to. It was in Columbus OH many years ago. Earlie 50s. He was the lead programmer for an MRP platform that one of our factories used for inventory planning and order management. There were only a couple of other people who could decipher his code. It took a long time for them to recover from it.

Wouldn’t this apply to any strenuous activity in the cold? Not just shoveling snow?

My guess is that it’s over exertion using muscles you typically don’t use.

If you’re a runner and run on a snow day, probably no problem. If you're not a ditch digger by trade and you activate every muscle in your body trying to clear your driveway, could be a problem.

Like OP said, it’ll be warm in a couple days. Let that crap melt.

Shovel snow almost everyday. If 1” is run down by our cars, it becomes ice for months. It has snowed almost everyday since Christmas.

You don't really have to shovel unless it's over 3 inches. Best technique is to slide the shovel along the ground like you would do when playing shuffleboard. Just push it to the side- no "shoveling" really needed.
