I just went to a pretty solid Italian/wine/"date" place on Thursday... I didn't know it was going to be awkward when I was walking up..

Oh, it's called "Bravo!" and the staff and the wine selection is fantastic...

merigo's has good Italian food, Table 100 is also a great suggestion for food.

Both of those suggestions are excellent, but they are miles apart and no way worth driving from one to another.
I fricking hate Jackson. My husband is from there. My SIL is having some health issues and I am driving over and staying a couple of nights each week to help her out; and with each visit I become more amazed at what a shite hole that place is.
It does have some nice restaurants and shopping but it's not concentrated and you have to drive through undesirable areas to get from one to the other.
She lives in NE Jackson and I there is only one gas station where it is safe to buy gas. WTF???

Table 100 and Amerigo's are right near each other. Amerigo's opened a second location.

Ah. Ok. My SIL lives at the country club and I get Amerigo take out a lot and that Table 100 is on the other side of the reservoir.
I love Amerigo, though.

Table 100 on your left.

Just keep going down Lakeland and turn right at Corner Street Bakery.

Go into that small shopping area. Amerigo's is on the left.

I don't think I'll venture there on my own. As far as I will go is to the area that has Bravo and a store called 4450. There is a men's store called the Rogue and Good that has nice high end clothing. I racked up on stuff last week for my son and husband for 75% off!!!!
Highly recommend that store!!

If you want steak and don't mind paying for a high quality meal, Ely's has the best steak in the area, it's in the Old Towne area of Ridgeland

You're afraid to go to Flowood by yourself? It's probably the safest city in the state.

For nightlife, go to MBar of ridge wood court right off of county line, Last call off northside drive, or Freelons downtown off Mill Street.

You're thinking of a different area. Table 100 is in Flowood, not Jackson

It's not Flowood itself, per se; but getting TO Flowood that's the problem. Anyways, nothing in Flowood worth visiting except the Table 100.
Heading to the 601 tomorrow. Will stay firmly inside the Country Club of Jackson which is not to be confused with the Jackson Country Club!!! If I were not on my phone I would insert the vomit emoji.

E & L BBQ is worth the drive, but unless you're Snake Plissken, don't take the wife their for her Valentine's dinner.

Millers for lunch.

Scrooges for dinner. Maybe Roosters in Fondren.

Get some catfish at Penn's.

Best pizza at ________ on Fortification (name escapes me!)

Elite for the dinner rolls and veal cutlet. Or enchiladas.

Onion rings at George Street.

Check out Ardenland.com for music.

Iron Horse Grill.

When all else fails, Luby's!
