Damn man.

She’s a woman. It’s all emotion with them. Leave her alone for a week and she’ll eventually get over it.

Just tell her, she got him, she can get another one just like him, or maybe better.

I've seen 2 grandsons go through the same thing and it was the end of the world for both.

They both recovered and one found love again and the other has dived head first into a new hobby.

It's not just females.

She's been crying for two days, no interest in doing anything. Wife tells me to back off and I'm wondering if she needs emergency psych help. With the boys and breakups, they were moody and stayed away, but they also still got out with friends and gamed or whatever teens do these days. Love her to death, but can't wait until she gets over this. Nothing worse than seeing your kid heartbroken and helpless to do anything about it.

Your expectations aren’t reasonable.

It’s going to take a lot more than 2 days.

Go back to being her ideal male model and get her through this. Assume it’s going to take several weeks.

And you have to let her go through it. Don’t try and make it go away. It’s the only way she learns the lesson everyone learns.

It's trivial in the grand scheme of things and she'll probably look back at it and realize she wasted time crying over it.

But right now, it's real to her, so It's a big deal, to her

Thinking she needs psych help is wild imo.

Talk to her. Tell her your stories of heartbreak and how you have to go through it to get to the right one. Take her some place special and be there for her to talk to. And listen to everything she has to say.

It’s so much harder than having a boy, and the prettier and more popular they are the more difficult it is. As a Dad we can’t fix shite, and I tried, and there are several young men I would have probably killed if I hadn’t mellowed with age. One maybe on borrowed time but that’s a different story.

Just be there for her. That’s all you can do now.

Grab some truly or white claws, few dozen eggs, maybe some toilet paper.

Load her up in the truck and go take care of business on ex boyfriends house. You make her feel better, reinforce petty woman behavior, and teach young baw just how awesome women can be.

I have 2 daughters that are 10 and 8, I'm not looking forward to any of this

Can confirm this.

Three kids. Two boys and a girl. The girl was easier up until about 15, then it did a 180 and has remained that way since.

Amen brother.

I will say I’m proud of her for giving him the business. When he broke the news, he walked out the front door and gave our dog a pet, she told him not to pet her f’ing dog.

Why did your selfish arse have kids?

And now you’re paying for it, literally.

My two sons are stepsons, I raised them when their biological dad wouldn’t.
