Bought something from eBay last Monday. Seller didn’t ship it til Wednesday. I had it shipped to my mom’s house, who lives out of town, thinking I could get it by today(12/23). Since the seller had their thumb up their butt, the day the package delivers is the day I leave to go home (Wednesday/27th). It’s shipped via UPS and they have a reroute feature. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it?

You could definitely have it rerouted. I'm sure their shite is nuts right now, though, so who knows how long it'll take.

Yes - with UPS and it worked like a charm

Please note this was in October which is not the crazy shipping season. Not sure if I would counsel doing this right now.

Don't see the problem with the seller. You shouldn't have expected something bought the week before Christmas to be delivered any earlier

If they say they can get it to you before Christmas then they should be good on their word. I ordered a leather jacket this past Friday and it was on my doorstep yesterday afternoon with free shipping.

Rerouting is probably cheaper and more convenient than having your mom reship it at this point

The UPS guy left a 'sorry we missed you' note on my door for a sign-for package. I arrived home having missed him by only a few minutes. Tracked him down the next neighborhood over and got my package.

So I guess I intercepted, not rerouted.

This info shouldn't be helpful to you. Csb

I did this summer. Package arrived at the original destination with a reroute sticker stuck on it. USPS apparently doesn’t care.

The shipper has to be to reroute the package. It will be an additional cost of $12 and will delay the package by an additional day. By the way I work in shipping.
