Married almost 37 years, so we rarely ever argue because we know what the other is thinking. But back when we used to argue at times, she would get mad and tell me I always made her feel stupid, she was, and I would have to apologize later or would get the cold shoulder. One time she got mad at me and said "You think you know everything and what makes me so mad is you do". I just grinned.

I would say we reach an agreeable resolution upwards of 80% of the time.
The truly hard part is that our arguments usually aren't direct conflict, but are just miscommunication. 45 minutes in and you realize you were both arguing about two different things

Almost never. When it comes to petty arguments, he has the endurance of an ultramarathoner.

As I get older the more I’m learning to walk away. It takes way too much effort to argue. I just want peace and sometimes that comes with just keeping your mouth shut.

Every time I tell her I told her something and she disagrees, I just pull the screenshot of the text. If it was verbal, she'll argue it to death even though her memory is proven to be poor all the time.

The point is not to argue. At some point you have to learn how to deconstruct their thought process and talk them through something without them feeling stupid or triggering defensive measures. It can be done.

I had an ex admit she was wrong and I recorded her saying "i'm sorry i was wrong". it started another huge fight when i would play the recording every night at bed time.
