Saw the same thing over a rural section of Arkansas. Triangle craft that just hovered and then took the frick off over the hillside after a bit with no noise. I've always just assumed government testing or something.

Three fairly well received and agreed upon certainties that most physicists agree upon with regard to these sightings and what they might mean.

First, a caveat. We're not talking Close Encounters of the Third Kind here. As Michio Kaku so eloquently puts it, next time you are abducted .... steal something.

But with regard to these sightings:

1) Why are they here? Probably advance party scouting us. Think of European explorers sailing to the new world just a half a thousand years ago. It took them months to get here, stumble across the new continent, months to explore and scout and then months to return. That was a long long time with no communication with the home base and them not knowing if the explorers were even still alive.

Now put those spans of times into light years. We know that even advanced civilizations, Level III or IV civilizations, are probably only reaching maybe a fifth the speed of light .... so their scouts, looking for other planets based upon home planet observations and intel, would be decades, if not centuries, ahead of them .... then transmitting back what they found, then waiting for a support fleet to arrive.

Someone else and I were talking about a great science fiction trilogy the other day, The Three Bodies, (written by a Chinese author) about the scouts arriving and quietly observing and studying us and occasionally slowing down our advancement, all the while waiting 400 years for their invasion force to arrive from another three star (suns) system. It's a fascinating read really. A trilogy. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

2) They could be here to observe and direct us in such a way as to not allow us to destroy ourselves. At some point they might help us to evolve to the next level. Read Arthur C Clark's "A Childhood's End" to fully understand the concept and why they are taking their time to gradually let us know of their presence here.

3) They've been here all along. They seeded us for whatever purpose. Like one day we may colonize and seed another planet if we hope for our species to survive. As Carl Sagan put it, the reason the dinosaurs are no longer here is because they had nowhere else to go when that big asteroid hit. If we hope to continue in this universe as a species we had better become a multi planetary species because one thing we know for sure is that this world will one day come to an end by one means or another.

But I have no doubt that they are here, now. No sane person with even the most elementary understanding of physics can look at these films the navy is releasing and not immediately recognize that this is well beyond the scope of any current human understanding of physics or math.

The only reasonable explaination involves manipulation of gravitational waves, quantum entanglement and quantum computing somehow meshed with whatever force is behind these things.

There is no heat signature, no wings or propellers. They are unaffected by water or air in terms of friction and resistance. The G-Forces these things are generating are beyond our current comprehension. It's hard to imagine any carbon based life form being able to withstand them unless they are someone shielded from the effects internally, within the craft.

And again I'll state, the most compelling thing to many is the fact that these same sightings have now been happening for decades and witnessed by military men all over the world .... happening for centuries, millennium even if you believe some of the ancient Egyptian and Mayan myths and carvings.

I'll never live to see it but some of you younger guys may actually live long enough to one day turn on the news and find they have finally made contact, for whatever reason.

It may not be good when it happens. Personally, I don't see how it could be when they will be so clearly superior to us in every way. Why would they be magnanimous when dealing with us?

Yes I have seen that movie, a couple of times actually. One of my favorite Michael Shannon roles.

Who knows. I personally believe the The Three Bodies scenario is more likely. Cannot recommend those books enough.

My brother in law and I were fishing near the headwaters of a lake. That night the last space shuttle return was incoming. As we were fishing we noticed something in the sky and thought, cool, as we were in the trajectory of the landing path, we actually are watching the last shuttle return to earth.

As we watched, the craft stopped in the sky and remained stationary for about 15 seconds. It then darted, not sure how far from the spot it was at previously, to a new spot but moved quickly then came to another standstill. I felt this was strange as hell because what technology do we have that could do that? Then it darted and again and came to a stop in the sky.

Then off it shot out of eyesight over the horizon faster than anything man could create! My brother in law and I were slack jawed and perplexed at whatever it was. Crazy shite!

That would be very worrisome if true. I watched the Unidentified shows on History as well. The accounts that these craft were tracking our carrier battle groups across the globe was probably the most eyeopening thing I heard. Why a carrier battle group? Are they trying to determine our defensive capabilities? If so why?
