Have you ever made a citizens arrest?

Just wondering if I am the only one who has.
I used to be a bouncer at an Athens bar several years ago. My associates had to escort a drunk as hell frat boy out. This bar was right across APD on Washington Street and a bike cop was posted up right outside our bar. Drunk guy kept inserting himself into our doorway and cop just stood there. I walked out and tried to be very nice and reason with the guy to just walk on before he got arrested or worse. Guy was still holding a beer bottle and I looked at the cop who was literally 3 feet away and asked for his assistance. Cop actually said "he's your problem, not mine."
I said "right now, he seems to be both of our problem. " Cop told him to get rid of the beer as it was illegal to have on the sidewalk. Drunk guy steps to me and pours his beer out on my shoes. Got to hand it to him....it was a solid frick you to me. Bold.
I looked at the cop and he just shrugged. I turned back and leg swept that fricker like Gracie and grappled his drunk arse into a knot. Got him on his belly and straddled his back. Looked up at the cop and said "cuffs." Cop casually took his cuffs and tossed them at me. I cuffed his arse and said "you sir....are being placed under citizens arrest."
Cop just said "That was some very good work" while he helped him to his feet and escorted him up the street. Looking back, I think that cop was laying low just to see what would happen. I think he was entertained. Not even sure if he took him to jail or let him go somewhere up the block with a few words of wisdom.

Jesus, you sound like one of those annoying straight-laced guys who always breaks up a good fight before it really starts.

Reminds me of the end of "the burbs".
Reminds me of Captain Carmine Lorenzo..

None of these things happened.
Great story though. I read the whole thing.

Did you use your dick as leverage in the incident?

I started to and then I found out that the near-rape scene I had just witnessed was staged by a husband and wife.
"help help, she screamed as she ran in her negligee at midnight.
I suppose being intervened by someone like me was a scenario they ran into now and then.

Damn man, finish the story!
I was hoping for the final paragraph where you talk about how you and the cop masturbate each other for a day's hard work.

The only way a person can make a citizens arrest is for a felony, so your story smells!

Yeap. And get this, the offense can have taken place in or out of your presence. You don't have to have witnessed it.
