Even more irritating is when some idiot calls me back insisting that I called them.

I had an odd call today. Some older woman called from a number I have never called and asked did I just call her? She said that my number had just called her twice. I didn’t have a clue.

you were calling yourself from the future

Wait until you get an angry phone call from someone on your exchange to stop calling them.

The self calls have happened in Tennessee for over a year; before that a friend in North Carolina had gotten some in 2018.

No, that's spooky. You'd better check all your rooms. Those telemarketers could be hiding anywhere.

I’ve had that happen a few times. Some understand when I explain that my number must have been spoofed by a telemarketer. Others are puzzled as hell.
Hey, I didn’t call you. What do you want me to do? Act like I did and chat about the weather.

I got a phone call today from my voicemail.
First time that has ever happened.
I have all the numbers my phone suspects to be spam blocked. It doesn't work for the local numbers. So now I get about 3 spam calls a day, instead of 10.

Hello, Me, It's You.

I had my own cell tell me I had voicemail. When I checked my voicemail, a call rang through to a toll free number where they said they were "Verizon", and were verifying I was ordering a new phone on my account. I wasn't getting a new phone, and told them so. They eventually asked for my pin number, and I didn't give it to them, and told them I thought they were trying to scam me somehow. They called back, said I called them, so they needed the number and I told them I wasn't giving it to them. They kept calling my phone, but I stopped answering it.
It bothered me enough that I drove to a Verizon store, told them what had happened, and let them look at my phone. They said the guy was spoofing the call through my phone number. They said he called me from my own number.
When they called the toll free number that showed up when he called, from their land line, they said it was a Verizon Sales number he had somehow spoofed, and they could hear him, but he couldn't hear them. They said they could also hear legitimate Verizon Sales people answering their phones.
I spent about 20 minutes on their speakerphone with their corporate office. We changed my pin number and did some other things to protect my account. I never heard from the spammer again.
Just before I left the store, a lady called saying she had had the same kind of call. She gave them a bunch of her personal info, and someone bought a new iPhone with the credit card she pays with on her account. Whoever did it changed the pin and email on her account. It was an old lady that basically got taken advantage of.

IDK but i'm fricking tired of getting spam calls all day. This shite needs to stop.
It's ridiculous. I probably get 6-10 a day. My blocked numbers list is growing fast

I finally blocked my own number. I'm never gonna call myself anyway.
I have received calls from numbers that were missing a digit, (xxx)xxx-xxx, usually from the United States.

We’ve traced the call and it’s coming from inside your house.
