no, my parents do not give him money. What we think is, he hooks up the meth for others and they give him some, or he pinches their sacks.

Just prove he is dealing out of the house and the cops will take him. Bug his phone or his room, its really not that hard to do. Go to a local spy shop and ask them what you need or hire a PI.

Just one uncle that was a borderline alcoholic and one cousin who may be on his way to being a drunk as he drinks all the time, crazy thing his is a ER doc and graduated first in his class from one of the best med schools in the country.

His twin sister tried to talk to him about and he just blew her off, like"bitch, im a ER doctor... you're a stay a stay at home mom...",

I actually agreed with him and we both agree that the term"Binge Drinking", for people that drink on the weekend is fricking stupid.

No not at all, his nephew.

My cousin is Angola right now gets out in Jan. He is like me, clean cut plain Ol white boy, no tats, Anything like that. But you wouldn't believe the dirt this guy has pulled in his life time. Sorta like me. Our demeanor and appearencr and the people we surround ourselves with and carry ourselves always helped us dig ourself in a deeper hole than we should have due to people not ever thinking we would be in that activity.

He started smoking pot at 13, moved on to beer and then pretty much anything you put in front of him. He kept it hidden from us as much as possible. I think he went through a crack period and then after a horrible injury a pain pill period and he finally overdosed on methadone (although the autopsy report left me with a lot of questions).

The thing with him was his essential amiable character overwhelmed the drama that surrounds addiction. He literally moved out at 16 and kept us largely away from the stuff. I would drink with him on occasion, and he always had great jobs. He'd call me when he was depressed (he had clinical depression) and tell me that he was about to kill himself and he'd sob and tell me how bad he felt. It was emotionally excruciating for me. But everybody always loved him, and since my Mom is a troubled person she doted on him and favored him. So he was never exiled from the family. He always kept it together around us but he had typical addiction drama and the occasional run-in with the law. And then he started his own family but his wife could not put up with his shite. He died in his very early 40's.

Not sure why LC is the only city in the state that doesn't do more with the entertainment tax credits. I know there is one guy that moved back here to start a small studio. He apparently had some Hollywood experience. I read about it in the Lagniappe a while back.

i didn't know that. my idea is to float on any expectation of any revenue for at least a year to build the brand

since i'm not likely to win the powerball, i have to get creative in how to keep costs super low while generating content that isn't me

i think i figured out a scheme

i wanna start local and then expand to SWLA if possible

You can probably get some McNeese theater students to volunteer for the experience.

no

One of the first things you learn as a family member of an addict is people, places, things

The world will always be full of addicts. Whether it's in a home town or across the world, the addict has to realize they will be a recovering addict the rest of their lives. Some can't accept that

I'm not even though his mom asked me to already. Told her I can't because for one I want my pistol back and I also don't want to be responsible for that pistol if the person he traded it to for drugs uses it for a crime.

In your experience dealing with meth addicts, have you known any to die young? Or do they usually last forever? It just amazes me how some of these addicts survive, some look like they could be on the show walking dead.

Agreed. Its almost impossible to stop if you are around people that are high on your drug of choice, its probably the biggest trigger there is.

Yeah, I edited b/c its obviously your call.

And this is why drug addicts need to GTF locked up.

It's not b/c they are drug addicts, it's the crap they do so they can be drug addicts.

a friend-client of mine actually died last year. she was young (32 or so) and i don't even think she was using

they can go for decades. but if you have small defects they can be magnified ESPECIALLY if you have a heart defect

i've been keeping up with meth since i saw a show on it in the 90s on HBO. people have been doing that shite for decades since the 70s

Since you say your parents aren't giving him money to support his habit, have you thought of the posibility that he may be cooking it? I mean if he's cooking it on your parents property that could be bad news for them.
