That's all I'm saying. Yes, half of the money can go to 'management' of the funds. Or his foundation can just admit that they are in no position to handle that kind of money, and pass it along to a larger organization to handle. Which is what I see happening.
You are literally too stupid to help. I literally laid out easy means and solutions and you literally want to sit here and act like i have to design the toilet for you to fricking flush it.

Lulz, I had my JJ Watt moment working with the Corps of Engineers years ago. I worked on a project with them extending the boat ramps on Lake Lanier.
When Lake Lanier was at it lowest point, 23 feet below full pool, they called me and asked if I thought I could raise some money to extend some of the boat ramps on Lanier. They had the machines and manpower but no concrete, sand or fill and no funds to get it.
They wanted to do a bunch of ramps which typically cost $1500-$200 per ramps to extend depending on how many lanes, grade, bottom , etc. I asked them when they wanted it and starting collecting.
After two weeks, I had around 16K worth of donations and went to them to get started. Long story short, after they fixed two ramps, the quit on me. Said they needed to reallocate their resources to another project.
Basically, they got their picture in the news working on the ramps, which took the heat off them, and they were done. Left me stranded with about 11K worth of donations that I took up $100 at a time from fishermen and businesses around the lake.
So I ask you, who gets their money back?

I'm trying to help someone who's very deeply depressed. Seeing a therapist, trying lots of different medications, nothing seems to help. It's worrisome and I'm not exactly qualified to do anything except try to be a good friend.

The family I work for has their own foundation and set up a fund for employees of one of our companies with another organization better suited to do handle that sort of thing since it's not the scope of our foundation. There are entities with the ability to handle this sort of thing.

No but I know this guy who volunteered to procure cheap coolers from china for what he thought was a few good 'ol boys. Word got out and the whole deal blew up with popularity and now all the poor guy does is stare at excel spreadsheets and answer emails while muttering "fuuuuuck" under his voice. However I think he did get a free trip to China which gave him an opportunity to partake in their wonderful cuisine and the conversation of forthright Chinamen. Also, he got to bang a lady there who made good biscuits. Didn't mention if she was hot or not though.

Did you ever resolve the issue or do you still have the excess money sitting in purgatory? I think I would've tried to get the local media involved and call out the corps.

I saw a list of charities in which the least amount of money donated actually goes to the cause.. I want to say if you donate to Goodwill & Red Cross maybe 10-12% of what you donate actually goes to the event you donate to.. I forgot the exact amount, but it was less than 20%.
I want to say the Salvation Army is one of the better charities to donate to.
