That shite is freaky. Hard to tell the difference if you’re awake or actually dreaming.

But laying there staring at the room you fell asleep in and unable to move is an absolutely terrifying experience.

Anyone have this happen and see shite like figures? I would lose my fricking mind.

Do a search on it or old hag. Many of us are visited often by that nasty bitch.

I’ve had sleep paralysis many times but once I did see a figure hovering over me. It looked like a family member who was no longer alive. That was probably one of the worst times.

Yes, many times. Also referred to “The witch is riding you “ in different cultures.

Yes but it’s been a while and I am never staring at the room as I can never open my eyes. I know what’s happening and just relax and eventually I can open my eyes and then I am good.

Yes, several times in college. (Mostly during mid day naps after all nighters)

They are absolutely terrifying, you feel awake & conscious of surroundings, but you cannot move.

I used to all the time. I found my biggest consistency was drinking caffeine too close to going to sleep.

It weird and scary as f***. I also think it’s amazing that everyone sees the same type images. Makes you wonder how the brain works.

I’m wondering if sleep paralysis is more common in older people ? I wonder if any studies have been done ? I’ll look into it.

I have it a few times a year. I don't see a figure by my bed or anything. More like this is a weird dream and I'd like to wake up now but try as hard as I might it feels like I physically cannot wake up.

I had it happen, but always while napping never at night. It's a freaky feeling for sure.

Had sleep paralysis last summer. Mike Wazowski, the guy from Monsters Inc, was doing some weird crap (in my head, could never open my eyes). When I tried talking all that came out was a grunt. I kept hallucinating about other stuff I can’t remember (which is why I tried opening my eyes). It’s freaky because your no really in control of your body. It lasted for about a minute.

In my high school and college days it used to happen to me pretty regularly. Now it is a very rare occurrence.

Yes. All my life a few times per year. Eventually I learned to remain calm and control the vibrations and other strange sensations. It can leads to some truly weird out of body like dreams/experiences.

That’s crazy. I’m pretty sure my eyes are shut, but the “dream” I’m having is so vivid that the room I’m in looks and seems real.

I assume my audible sense is also using real-time sounds to make me think I’m awake as well.
