My forgiveness thread yesterday brought out a poster who admitted to almost killing his hunting buddy who stole his wife away from him. Said after she left him for his buddy, they were hunting and he had his ear within his scope but he chose to not pull the trigger.

This got me thinking - who here has intended on murdering someone but decided not to go through with it.

I couldn't do it. Only way I can kill another human being is if my life or my family's life was in danger and I had to do it to prevent harm.

Yes. A guy tried to rob a place I was working at. He was not successful.

Are you asking about almost killing someone or almost murdering someone.

They are not the same

I'm asking about almost murdering someone. As in a planned killing.

I'm not asking if anyone here has gone through with it. I do NOT want to know that. I'm simply asking if anyone here (we have a wide range of posters here) has ever intended on doing so but didn't.

As much as people have pissed me off in my lifetime, no one has every pushed me to that point.

The threat of getting raped for the rest of my life in a small, cold cell is enough to discourage me from going through with it.

Yes, but it turned out there was a misplaced decimal in the life insurance policy.

yes - I had a fiend, close at the time, that was going through a nasty divorce, started talkign to my now ex fiance - and they had a thing going on the side, to the point i was approached by her son to ask if the guy was her new boyfriend.

one night after finding the bottom of a large bottle of rum, I called my best friend and told him he has 30 mins to get to my apartment, or i was gonna drive to the guys house and kill him.......my best friend got here in 15 minutes, and no homicide was committed - but it was damned close.

now that I am happily married - i reflect back on that and wonder what the point of feeling that way was, but at the time i wanted to so bad.

Family member spent 6 years in the penitentiary for dealing meth . He got out and started a good business. One night a stranger shows up at his shop and demanded payment for protection and whatever. His young son was with him and the guy threatened them . He beat the guy with a hammer and buried him at a job site . What a mess . He’ll never see the light of day.

I put the DDT on a friend of mine on some gym bleachers and I thought I killed him. Flopping around like a fish breathing funny. Glad he was okay. Never did that again. That's all I got.

Yes, there was an idiot who brought his four-year-old son into the store and kept saying, “‘my boy is going to be a real ladykiller.”

Said he hates when people are courteous drivers, too.

Just an all-around annoying guy
