Anatomically incorrect head, arms, legs, torso to the point that a man of those proportions would be considered freakish if he actually existed.
Many studies support it is anatomically correct.
Carbon 14 test have been proven to be off as much as 500 years. On an piece of cloth found in Mexico know to be 800 years old carbon 14 test results said it was 400 years old. Apparently mold distorts carbon 14 test.

500 years off doesn't get you there. Your arguments for are as weak as Rex's arguments against.

The repair area is visible only under a microscope, you can find that information with a quick search.
What does the west "want" Jesus to look like and how is that different than what a Jewish person looks like?
So the repairs allegedly done in medieval times were so delicate that they can only be seen under a microscope? Impressive. If we knew that repairs were made, and we know where they were done on the shroud, and we had microscopes in 1988, again, why did they pull fibers from a repaired piece?
The jesus we all think we know is a white dude, with long straight hair. That's also what is represented in the shroud...but that's not what he looked like.

I have already linked to scientists who debunked that desperate repair patch nonsense. The desire to be immortal is stronger than a need for reality, apparently.

You have comprehension issues. If something is tested to be 400 years old and really is 800 years old it is plausible that something tested 1000 years old may actually be 2000 years old.
The testing study found that microscopic mold spores were the cause. The shroud could have these same issues. Regardless if Carbon 14 test had confirmed the age to date to the time of Christ it wouldn't prove anything. It simply cannot be relied upon
We'll never know because they will never get another piece to test.

1400 - 500 =/= 0

Finally, Dr. Libby and the evolutionist crowd have assumed that all plant and animal life utilize carbon-14 equally as they do carbon-12. To be grammatically crass, this ain’t necessarily so. Live mollusks off the Hawaiian coast have had their shells dated with the carbon-14 method. These test showed that the shells died 2000 years ago! This news came as quite a shock to the mollusks that had been using those shells until just recently.
pulled that from a study on Carbon 14 test problems. I would copy the entire link but you wouldn't understand it.
Idiot

bullshite.
At any rate, I'm tired of the thread. As I've said, the desire for the Shroud to be authentic is driven by a desire for personal immortality that overrides all reason and rational investigation.

you seem to have a strong desire for it not to be authentic...probably because you're a dumbass that doesn't even believe Jesus existed at all.

We know what people of Jewish decent look like. The shroud debunks nothing there.
Your average jewish person from Long Island would not at all resemble Jesus the Jew.

I'd link many of the studies but know you wouldn't read them. No one has proven the shroud is a forgery or authentic. Not even the all knowing Rex.

Rex is an old arse atheist who doesn't even believe Jesus existed. any thread pertaining to Jesus brings out his inner heathen

So is that how this works? There has to be proof that a piece of cloth wasn't the burial shroud of the son of God that rose from the dead? Can we even occam's razor a little bit?

I don't know "how it works". I believe the Shroud was created with incredible accuracy. It has done it's job well .

Just gonna chime in with this: I just laid down on my bed, and got into that position with no difficulty.

An earlier post said you can prove the Shroud is fake by lying down and trying to get into the position of the image on the Shroud.
