Has the OT as a whole matured?

I lurked for awhile and then got invested in posting regularly. I’ve moved on in life and only just started lurking and recently posting again...
I have to say, that the snide/glib/snarky/shitty posting has dropped off CONSIDERABLY from my hay day.
So Im asking posters who’ve been around for longer than a fricking day... has the OT matured as a whole of have I just been catching it on its more “mature days”?
Flame away, good sirs.
ETA: I’ve seen dozens of friendly faces and even those who’ve been here steady have toned down their rhetoric

It definitely feels like the average age of the core contributors has gone up, or maybe I’m just getting older.

The OT is a shell of it's former self.
Part of it has to do with the creation of other boards, which watered down the OT a bit.
The rest of it has to do with overall crappy posters. People have to try way too hard to be funny now. It used to come naturally around here. Every once in a while a great thread will pop up though.

That’s exactly what it feels like... that a lot of the posters who “made this board what it is” have grown up (myself included) and stopped being such blind, bigoted, and prejudiced assholes.

So if you’ve been posting regularly since I DRASTICALLY toned down my posting, maybe around 2015/16... that the “poster-base” as a whole has grown up and the new boards diluted the new blood up in here?

The OT has grown soft, for whatever reason.
Less testosterone since there hasn't been any new pussy under the age of 40 injected into the posting mix in a good while.
For one I really did actually grow up a little bit, got tired of taking my 'in real life' lumps and ran out of Mulligans. And in regards to my board personality, with just naturally growing up, I also got tired of being banned more often than not. As the board grew in numbers I found myself having to be less brash.
