Still rocking with my ‘97 TJ. My wife hates it, but I love that vehicle.

I would love to have a Jeep, but I'm not paying Luxury/sport car price.

That's the difference in the car market today. Any car/truck maker that doesn't make a total piece of shite thinks it demands top dollar.

I would also like a truck, but for the price I could go buy a a 3 year old low mileage Porche or Corvette. Now I don't want a truck so bad.

Current market pricing on vehicles makes zero sense to me, but I chalk it up to dumbasses way overpaying for new cars.

Sounds like you have been in some not so good Jeeps. My rubicon rides and drives great. It’s also actually fairly quiet. I’ve also done some modifications to make it better.

I had a 1980 cj7 damn thing had more bondo no doors or top and everything waterproof. I loved that thing. I’m not spending 30k for something I’m afraid to tear up!

I take mine off-road fairly often. I don’t act as arse with it, but I’m also not afraid I’m going to mess it up. Have to know your tools.

Then don't buy a top of the line truck.

Reasonably equipped full size trucks sell in the low to mid $30s.

I know a lot of owners are wanting to upgrade to the JL so it may be causing a slight increase in supply.

They still move fast when priced correctly. A lot of idiots try to recoup most of their upgrade costs when they sell and those tend to sit.

We need a Jeep board for all these threads. Maybe lump it together with the soccer board.

Believe me...that's not the only thing she hates!

She tells me she loves my '83 CJ5.
That's probably what she tells all the guys though!
