DAC is the definition of "don't give a frick".

quote:. That is for sure, saw him at a bar in Hammond around 2000. Sang a bunch of stuff I never heard of rambled on about his son and good of grades he gets in school. Then he started doing some kind of country rap, and finished up with about 30 seconds of “You never called me by my name” and left. Dude was stoned out of his mind. We knew the DJ of the club so we were watching the show from the DJ booth. Dude would be sing and turn and look at us with eyes rolled back in his head. Don’t think I have every seen anyone so hammered / stoned / high and still be able to function. Knew someone that went to a show he had the next night at a casino on the coast and he said he was sober and it was a good show. I guess his margin for fricking up was much shorter with the casino.

I have been to several of his shows. They are either great or not worth a shite.
I was at his show in Hammond the day Waylon Jennings died. He came out drunk with "Waylon" written backwards on his forehead. Sang a few songs and basically told the crowd to frick off. Walked off stage, got on bus and left. Was a wtf moment for sure

Saw him on stage in Ft Worth late 80’s or early 90’s. The crowd was so f$&ked up it did not matter what he played they liked him.
His fan base is not the SJW crowd.

I now want to thank the poster who said he threw CD out the window because he was so offended. I'm now going through YouTube rabbit hole of DAC.
I'm a grown arse man and giggling once again like a school girl.

Like a million people have already said, DAC is literally the worst concert you can attend.
I saw him once at Casino Magic in Mississippi in like 1994 or 1995. He forgot the words and didn’t finish any of his songs. He talked a lot, name-dropping how he was buddies with Elvis and Waylon Jennings and how he had spent most of his adult live in jail and said ‘frick’ every other word. A lot of people left before it was over and I think everyone that stayed was relieved when it ended. He had to
have been drunk AND high.

I was supposed to go to that concert but I just had to have lunch with Prince Phillip instead.
