Why would you even consider doing this online to begin with?

Did this for my wedding. Several groomsmen said it was the best rental tux they'd ever gotten. One had an issue with pant length and they overnighted a new pair.

I don't see why you wouldn't do it.

$169 isn't a good price to buy or rent a tuxedo and shirt? I am confused.

What should I be paying to buy a tux?

Is this black tux thing legit?

I would like to avoid any rentals for my wedding if at all possible, but having a fallback if it becomes necessary would be nice.

$169 to rent a tux is about right.

If you're buying a tux for $169, I can't imagine how shitty it must be.

Just wanted to see if there were any bad experiences? I'm in a wedding and the bride wants the groomsmen to get the tux online(not sure where?). It seems like there is a bigger risk of it not fitting properly along with the shoes.

Before I finally bought one, I ordered a few online in a pinch. I had no issues whatsoever, and they've usually got procedures that help you fix any fit problems promptly. I've actually had better luck with the fit online than I've had in stores, but that's purely anecdotal.

If you want to avoid rentals, all you need to do is have everyone wear a normal tux. The reason rentals stay in business is because most folks want their wedding party to look like they're going to prom.

This is the plan depending on time/venue.
