Ex-buddy of mine told me a story how he was divorcing his wife because she cheated on him and he just found he had cancer. I gave him $300 for hotel and food.

About an hour later another friend calls me to tell me that if that dude comes around don't lend him any money. Apparently he's been smoking meth and that's why his wife wants a divorce.
Over two years now and dude won't answer texts or calls. Every now and then when the issue of money comes up my wife brings that shite up

I got a sweet BJ today from a woman who afterward wanted to sell me a bat bag.

This can't be a coincidence.

(My BJ story and the OP are equally true.)

I got an extra $500 when getting petty cash from the bank drive up window. Not kidding.

After thinking about it for a good while I took it back. Not kidding

Probably, but I wouldn't have given them anything if that'd been the case.

No, once I see someone beginning to lose control of their lives, especially from addiction, I cut off all ties to them.

It makes you think, how much money has been stolen from the public? Anybody else got any good stories about being short changed? Let's here them.

I have a story that is the opposite. i went to return something at walmart. The clerk had NO idea what she was doing. She tried to put the $50 on a walmart card but said she couldnt do it.

So she hands me $50 cash. Then her manager walks up to help out. She asks the clerk if she paid me cash and the clerk lied and said "no". I didnt want the girl to get fired so I didnt say anything.

So the manager puts $50 on my card and I go to get the replacement item and check out. I used the card to pay for the $50 item. She hands me a receipt that says I STILL have $100 on the card.

i know if i went to give the money back the clerk would be fired. (She was new and had told how much she needed this job).

I kept the $50 cash because Walmart has screwed me out of money before (charging me twice for items, etc). Then I gave the gift card to someone who really really needed it.

TL;DR - a walmart clerk gave me a $150 refund by mistake.

I know this guy.. On a message board.. Who likes to comment on this other dude's threads and when that other dude tells him something he blows up and start complaining about how the other guy is messing with him blah blah.. And tries to play the victim. Its funny.

Would y'all just knock it off with the ambiguous "this guy" talk, and just tell us who you're talking about?

But whatever, she named it after my favorite Simpsons character so I considered it kinda even.

Pretty cruel naming a kid Frink.

To be fair, you'd had 30 years of practice telling that lie before you got the system down.
