a buddy and I ran up to Carlos Marcello's house as kids in the early 80's and yelled "jail bird" thru the fence at an outdoors pool party. We hauled arse, and they probably did not pay us any mind. I know cool story.

My uncle used to run guns for the mob in boston. He got caught in an FBI sting and did 12 years in federal prison. Their van broke down on the way to the airport, so they asked my dad to drive them. The FBI took photos of my dad unloading all the duffel bags, but had no idea what was in them. They arrested him[dad] then released after interrogation.
All before I was born, but my uncle used to have all sorts of crazy guns(back when you could have full autos) and used to take my brother out to family farm to shoot them and throw grenades. Its all grown over now for the most part but can make out chunks dirt out of the ground.
After he got out of prison he moved down to mexico to be over some sort pot growing ring for them

Back in the 70's my Dad was doing NDT testing for a pipeline company in New Jersey. Well, he was failing too many welds, cost the P/L money.
He arrived back to his hotel room to find a case of Jack Daniels. When he continued to fail welds, he was reassigned for "his safety".

A film producer asked me to do some work for him. I went through some of his stuff. It gave me a bad feeling, so I told him I was really busy with other clients, and I couldn't take the work.
I googled the guy's name, and some random mafia blog said he was the head of what is left of the New Orleans family.

Hmmm. I bet we have at least a couple of common acquaintances. I knew a couple guys in Lafayette years ago who were definitely connected.

I had a great uncle by marriage that was supposedly mob connected (something to do with jewelry theft/fencing).
He died about 20 years ago. But before he died, he and my great aunt were in the witness protection program for over a decade. Other than one call on Christmas, nobody from our family heard from them or knew where they were living the entire time.
My great aunt just passed away a couple of weeks ago. She and my mom were pretty tight. I need to ask her if she has any other stories. I don't even know why they had to enter the program.

The guy who is supposedly still in charge of the Philly mob hit me with a golf ball about 3 months ago while I was working.
I walked up to him pretty aggressively and explained it was not a chipping green, only a putting green, while pointing out the 4 signs that say as much.
He got a little heated, said I should be used to it because I work on a golf course. This aggravated me even more so I had a few choice words for him. He then proceeded to call the managing partner of the golf course.
The managing partner then called me and explained to me who he was, and that I was crazy for doing what I did and to maybe not drive my car home.
