Two things Kip loved more than anything in this world: - Ice cold Budweiser in a bottle - Smooching white women on the lips
Kip always did enjoy the finer things

The man was top notch. I wish he would have won LT Governor. He was born to promote Louisiana.

He was definitely a character, but in a funny kind of way. The kind of guy who liked to be in the mix with ALL of the people of the city. He seemed to be at ease in almost any social setting, and it felt like he was everyone's mayor.
The man even showed up to my daughter's Girl Scout bridging ceremony (when they move to the next level) just so they would feel special and important. Truly loves BR and the people in it.

Could care less because he is a Democrat

Kip knew taking care of details wasn’t his thing, so he had Walter Monsour, Mike Walker and then William Daniel as his CAO’s and they ran the city, while he publicized it. He never missed a downtown event, always there kissing the babies and grabbing the white women’s asses. Often in costume. One of the most approachable people you’d ever meet, and never told a company or a group know when they asked him to attend a function. I especially loved his press conference after the Katrina refugees trashed the River Center “I don’t want THOSE people in my River Center ever again”. (he really didn’t like black pypo).
Didn’t like him as a legislator, loved him as mayor. Broomhilda has completely torn down all he had done to revitalize downtown.

Then I guess I'm a Kip Holden Democrat.

Kip was at his best when he had Walter as his CAO. Those two together were an amazingly effective combo. Baton Rouge was never in better hands with those two running things

Dementia.
Lives in a memory care facility.

What’s ironic is that our parents (80’s) would say Kip and Walter were not the smartest politicians during their first years in politics.

That is absolutely sad. It must have been onset pretty quickly. Kip loved his fun but I can't believe this has happened to him.
Wish him well. I just wish he had one more run in him for mayor.
