Talk 107.3 made their local arse quit a while back and WJBO went to entirely syndicated programming with no local programming. Then at the turn of the new year they picked up Walton and Johnson which really delegitimizes them as a news radio station.

Walton and Johnson had been on 98.1 for close to two decades. 98.1 is the local white trash get drunk every night radio station so the show really fit on that station.

WJBO picking up Walton and Johnson is the metaphorical equivalent of the station going into depression, growing a beard, picking up a couple of DUIs, and losing their job.

Not sure about 1150 AM WJBO, but at the beginning of the year didn't they switch 97.7 FM to WJBO so they'd have an FM talk radio station?

They're an AM radio station. When did they ever have a life?

Their signal for both AM and FM are very weak, particularly at night.

liberal much?

it's a conservative channel for most of the day. W&J are comedic conservatives who are the opposite of PC. No other station in town offers anything like it. 1073 does the same thing, Dave Ramsey isn't local. I love Clarence but he's got a time slot right in line with Rush Limbaugh and he's just not going to get real high numbers competing at that time. WJBO is about making money, and the money is in number of listeners.

i live in Baton Rouge. When I wak up at 5:15am I'm forced to listen to WWL 870 AM in NOLA for "local" news because 107.3 and WJBO are still running their night time syndicated programming.

I wonder what station the Guaranty Broadcasting folks listen to when they wake up in the mornings to get ready for work?? WWL 870AM???

The only thing worth a shite on 107.3, or all of talk radio for that matter.

WJBO gave up the ghost long ago. The day of radio news and commentary sounding as grown men talking to grown men has long since past.
