Stop asking me WTF is wrong with me
A lot of these reporters are going up to random people just as they're getting off the boats at these makeshift boat ramps for interviews.
I'm not sure if that is what happened here, but I've seen quite a few look annoyed for being asked for an interview minutes after being saved from their flooded neighborhood.

Dude that woman just went off. Ask them if they are okay and if they can do an interview.

When i finally made it to safety last year with the floods the last thing I would've wanted was a camera in my face. I think the wife and I cried together for a good 5 minutes holding our kids.

Yeah they wouldn't have been able to air what was said if they were around our hood last year. I can only speak for myself, but it wouldn't have been SFW. Totally understand their frustrations

In defense of the reporter, someone probably did. I can only imagine how emotional that interview becomes. All of a sudden you have the stress of being on national tv when you felt you were just calming down after being rescued.

quote:Yeah, they keep doing that and it kind of makes me cringe. I saw one where the lady was limping through the flood water in obvious distress, and the reporter was like ma'am, are you okay? And holding the mic in her face obviously wanting to interview her. She was like "no" and kept walking.

It was bound to happen with how these reporters just shove their mic into peoples face. "hey, you just lost your house, have you ever seen anything like this?"

USACOE Galveston gives update on Addickson & Barker Dams
Waters won't go around the ends of the ends of the Barker dam until the 31st of August early in the morning. Pool levels are at 101 feet currently.
Addicks Dam less than 1 inch flowing around ends of Addicks dam. 108.5 ft currently but once it reaches 109.5 feet larger flows of water will start flowing which they say won't happen until early morning of the 31st of August.

dad got down to Rockport yesterday and checked on the house. The roof had collapsed leaving the inside vulnerable to the storm.

Damn. Good for her. She wasn't having any of it and I don't blame her.

A camera in my face would preceded a boot in somebodies arse.
I keep thinking that so many of these people have no idea what they are in for.
I suspect most won't have flood insurance either.

Jeez. Sorry man. Good thing they got the frick out though. Even if it's the smallest of consolations, they're alive.
