Reed Timmer Extreme Meteorologist
Breaking news: Tropical Depression Harvey has reformed in SW Gulf of Mexico! Forecast to strengthen into at least tropical storm and head toward Texas Coast. NHC says tropical storm and/or hurricane watches could be needed later today for parts of the northeast Mexico, Texas, to as far east as the southwest Louisiana Coastlines.
I'll be heading to Houston later today to start coverage for AccuWeather Stay tuned

only person I wouldn't want to see near me more during a potential severe weather event than Reed Timmer is Jim Cantore

so Houston... get ready

All of these comments is why for one storm there was a locked thread that only certain people were allowed to post in. Everyone else kept another one going. Geesh.

Sounds like unless he opted out of soybeans and into lily pads...the crop probably won't look too good.

20 acres of rice left. No beans planted. Very sad for those who did if this storm dumps the rain they're saying.

The NASA Global Hawk will fly a 24 hr mission today. This data will now be part of the GFS data assimilation process, until just recently, that data made it into other global models but not the GFS.
