Latest QPF has 5-7" so 6-10 isn't out of the question

The euro has been most consistent with Harvey's motion thus far. Much more stock in this than GFS

As usual, especially this year after the GFS upgrade (downgrade)

I watched some poor guys live stream the storm that hit Hong Kong and Macau. Got to be crazy to go throw yourself in the middle of a storm.

As far as getting this out of TX/LA altogether, this run is about 12-18 hours slower than the 12z run.
The Euro has had some pretty incredible rainfall totals thus far, so I'm sure they're not going down with the slower speeds.

He streamed Matthew for us last year, he wouldn't put himself in an overly dangerous situation though.

There's still quite a few days to see what could happen. Luckily in this area we have time. I stress to just be prepared just in case, which is never a bad idea. Even if nothing happens, be prepared if it does come this way. That's the good thing about this time compared to last year... that we have time.
It's hard to stress how much people need to be prepared, cause they take it as "omgz it's definitely coming this way", when in reality it is, it could be horrible or it could be nothing, but wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? No one seems to understand "safe than sorry" nowadays... if you tell them to prepare and nothing happens they never prepare again, they stop believing the possibilities..
ESPECIALLY people who weren't old enough to have to prepare for Katrina, etc.. or people who just moved to the area. In the weather community we've been talking more and more to sociologists, to better understand how to inform the public on threats... why did it have to come to this though? Where is the common sense? Why do people need specialized words and methods to understand something as simple as"this might happen be prepared".
This is a huge problem with tornado warnings.. it's ridiculous.

That's why I boarded my shite up, Put my furniture on whatever I could find and bugged the frick out. Whatever happens now is in God's hands. So I'm going to sit at this ranch and drink, because from the moment I closed the garage I have no bearing on anything but the end result.

Will say a few prayers for you. Try and enjoy yourself and relax though because like you said, you have no control over anything that happens now.
