I'm happy with the Dollar Shave Club. 6 bucks every other month, and I have plenty of extra razors.

The shave butter is great. I have stopped using shaving cream since I have gotten the butter.

Gonna give Harry's a try. Ordered the Winston kit with handle, shaving cream and 2 blades.

I buy from dorco in bulk when they run their 40% off promotions. I am pleased with their quality and find them on par or better than the mach 3

Dollar Shave Club is legit. You can set it up to send monthly, bi-monthly whatever you need. Don't buy the cheapest blade, get the one in the middle.
The Dr. Carver's butter is a must, and every once in a while they send their "One Wipe Charlies". Great marketing and they leave a little tingle

Do you wet your face before lathering on the shave butter?

that shave butter is not too good to me. maybe to use like a pre-shave. IMO there are a million of other shave creams that you prep and apply with a brush that are better.

my wife got me the 4 blade a month thing from dollar shave club, so far all but the first 2 shaves with new blades are terrible
I realize these are cheap but I'm going back to my fusion. Life's too short for a shitty shave

$6 DSC here for a few yrs & like it. I have about 30 extra blades on standby. Shave butter is legit.

No need. Just throw it on & let it marinate your face for a minute.

I will eventually move to a DE razor.
I have used DSC 6 and 4 blades. Can't decide which is better. Using 4's now. The fusion is better. Schick Hydros are better too. But only a little.
Many are moving to old school DE razors. So much so that gillette has an ad about costs only being a buck a day or something? So hopefully that fails and they have to come down in price.

Sounds to me like you should just make the move to double-edged safety razors. The blades are SO cheap.
I've got the DE razor and I'm on DSC. If I want an epic shave, DE. If I'm in a hurry (most of the time), the DSC blades have been great for me.
It's $6/month. I never use a blade more than a week since they're so cheap. No complaints at all about the blade quality, but I DO think they could improve their handle. I've had to get a couple of replacements in probably 2-3 years of membership.
I love the shave butter, but there's better stuff out there.
The one-wipe charlie's are NOT safe for flushing. There was a story about NYC having major issues with wipes clogging up sewer lines or something.

I honestly don't remember and I'm out of town at the moment, but I'm sure it's a Merkur. Sorry I can't remember...bought it 4 or 5 years ago.

DSC - I think its a neat idea. I never had a issue with going to store for blades b/c I was there grocery shopping etc. I just recently changed my account to every other month b/c I was getting a little inventory of blades. just ordered a extra handle so I can keep it in my travel kit as well.
