"Happy Wife, Happy Life"

Men who say this are unfit to reproduce.
Other beta behavior in relationships
-Asking for permission
-generally allowing themselves to be bossed around
-driving a minivan
-The woman expects to make decisions on where to go/what to do
-tells her she's right during arguments when she's wrong: "the wife is always right" complex
How can men live like this? What happened to just being honest and not allowing your wife to treat you like a child in the hopes that she'll frick you?
I was out with some friends (couples) this weekend and one of the dudes is so neutered by his wife, it's sad. MFer had the audacity to have an opinion about something and she shut him down with the quickness. Another dude says "happy wife, happy life." I looked at him like he had just said the moon was made out of cheese. I just don't get it.
These are young couples, with young dudes who have been taught that this is acceptable. SAD!
