We are on a nursing home circuit and the most we’ve ever lost power has been an hour. Hubby refuses to get a generator for that reason.

I don't have a generator either.
Don't have much use for one, but I might change my mind if we ever have an ice storm and lose power for a long time.

Fireplace and stove are natural gas.
Central heat is natural gas, but needs power to the air handlers to do any good.
Water heater is electric, but we might be switching to gas whenever it goes out.
