Happy 76th birthday to Dolly Parton.

The woman is literally a saint on Earth. What she has done as a philanthropist holds no peer. And she is one of the greatest songwriters the world has ever known. (And I would argue the 2nd greatest living songwriter behind Sir Paul)
Literally born into extreme poverty in the mountains of NE Tennessee and became one of the most successful and richest women on Earth.
We don't deserve her. But let's be thankful while we still have her. She has shown all.of us what God's love and grace is about.

A saint is a holy person. In many religions, saints are people who are believed to be holy. In Christianity, the word "saint" refers to any person who is "in Christ", and in whom Christ dwells, whether in Heaven or in earth.
My understanding is that she is believed to be a Christian therefore she is indeed a “saint”.

Who downvoted a thread about Dolly Parton? She is one of a kind and one of the main things I like about her is that she can just as easy be a comedian.
She is a great entertainer. During the LSU-Bama basketball game one of the announcers said a quote from her "I got more guts than talent and just enough talent to get by".
Im not that big of a country music fan (I listen to it at times, I am a big George Strait fan, but in general I can't listen to it for a long time), but I love the hell out of Dolly.
