Lainey is from my little neck of the woods. I knew her grandfather pretty well, know her dad. She’s good people. Like Reba.

Her songs were something else. Compared to most of the bumper sticker music on country radio in the 80s and 90s they were way more ambitious. She went for depth and southern gothic art on a mainstream format that proudly celebrates being casual and unserious, and got a lot of hits. She can belt it out too. You gotta respect ol' Reber

Every morning I turn on the TV it's on a station my wife left on the night before, Hallmark I think. Reba's TV show is on every time.
I think of her more now as an actress than a singer. Her TV show is pretty solid too.
