I think people should experience a few days of those temps to get some perspective.

All that Arizona and no Flagstaff or Sedona? Bad list.

I've only been to a handful of the cities listed.
Seattle was great, very walkable city but the amount of weed smoke we had to walk through was annoying. Plus there were a frick ton of homeless people and heroin whites lying about.
Burlington VT, and Portland ME...never have I seen so many happy white people. Summer temps were great and people were just walking around the city happy as shite. I was jealous.
I'd love to retire in Portland. Only issue with Portland was that there were a lot of lady boys, and I don't know who does the surgery up there, but I was fooled a few times.

Yes the weather can be rough but has anyone here that’s bemused about Seattle actually, you know, been to Seattle? Very fun city and surrounding areas.

Saw none from Utah, quit looking. Too much garbage media these days.

As a Seattle native I’m surprised at the high rating for happiness. It’s a very passive-aggressive city and the locals tend to be introverted, which suits me well because I’m an introvert. I’m suspicious of strangers who are over friendly. At least it’s not full of a-holes like Boston, NYC and Philly. Seattle also has a dark, creepy vibe. I love it.

Seattle is in a beautiful area and close access to great islands.
But the city ptoper is being overrun with their drug problem. The last time I was there about 5 months ago, I saw narcan being administered by EMS on the sidewalks 4 separate times.

Fargo is a very nice place to live, the people there are nice and industrious and yes…happy. ND is a beautiful state. Demographic homogeneity has plenty to do with that as well.
You should move there. Sounds like your kind of folks.
