We are the Foothills of the Smokey's!
Love Gadsden, Did clinical rotation through Gadsden regional hospital. I'd love to work there one day.

Hanceville is OK. Wallace State Community College there, with some smoking hot nursing students.
About 10 minutes from Cullman, AL which up to five or ten years ago had a sign at the city limits that read "Don't the let the sun set on your black arse."

Every time I hear that city I think of my chicken industry days. That one is a Koch plant iirc.

Good. Just a little something for all the times you have logged in to say what a shithole NOLA is.

Lol that's most likely a myth man. I've asked a lot of old timers both black and white and they all say that sign never existed.
But the hot nursing students at Wallace State is no myth. That fact!

I spent some time working in Cullman in the 90's and there was no sign. If there ever was one it was a lot further back than "5 or 10 years ago".

I've heard that same "sign" story about Sand Mountain,Hokes Bluff,Cullmann,etc.,etc.
I'm 55 and have never seen such.
Now,50+ years ago a lot of small communities in N.E. AL weren't very welcoming to Black People.I know that's an understatement.

It did exist, but it was before the 60s and not everyone agreed with it. (MiL and her whole family live in Cullman) needless to say, the 5 to 10 year thing is rediculous. It was a long time ago in Cullman, a interracial couple from Cullman is even a part of my church congregation

52 acre farm with 3 ponds full of large mouth Bass, 5 great quarter horses to ride, and only a 20 min drive to 300 acres of hardwoods full of white tailed deer. Why yes I would call that living.
Throw in a girl gettin' in yer truck, some beer, and the red dirt road you drive down to get to your 300 acres, and you have Luke Bryan's next hit song!
